Dr. Wnuk and his research group recently attended the 247th ACS National Meeting & Exposition in Dallas, Texas. The students presented their research in several talks and poster presentations, attended many seminars as well as career building workshops including mock interviews and one on one resume critiques and were able to share great camaraderie with each other as well as their mentor.

Dr. Joong-Ho Moon has recently received a prestigious Faculty Early Career Development Award (CAREER) from National Science Foundation (NSF) in recognition of his continuous research and education efforts.
Ruben Gonzalez, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, 1994 was featured in the article entitled "Ruben Gonzalez Jr.: Molecular Visualizer". Professor Gonzalez is currently Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, Department of Chemistry, Columbia University
The new programs, supported by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, will support 16 undergraduate students and 4 graduate students each year with scholarships and fellowships.
Congratulations to Dr. Leonard S. Keller for being awarded the University Service Medallion. at Faculty Convocation. Dr. Keller is a founding faculty of the university and helped establish the chemistry department.
Both FIU Student Affiliate Chapters of the American Chemical Society (ACS) have been recognized by the Society of Chemical Education of the ACS. The BBC Chapter received an Outstanding Award and the MMC Chapter received a Commendable Award. Congratulations to our student chapters and their faculty advisors.
